How is Drawbridge licensed?

The Drawbridge component used to convert class diagrams into a Sandcastle-compatible format is licensed free of charge. You may use the Drawbridge component but you may not redistribute it. The technology used to create the Drawbridge component is proprietary and protected property.

The class diagram found in the help document does not look exactly like the class diagram in Visual Studio.

Class diagrams in Visual Studio are not stored in a rendered state. Each time the diagram is opened (or a class object is changed) the diagram is recreated from scratch. Depending on the mode, Drawbridge does not use the rendering engine found in Visual Studio’s. It uses its own technology, therefore there will be some differences.

Is there a way to change colors or shapes in the diagram?

Not yet. This will be available in a future release.

Is source code available?

Drawbridge is constructed on proprietary and licensed technology. Although we can give away the tool, the source code is restricted.
